TIMELINE OF MY EXPOSURE TO MEDIA

2001: This year my life begins.
2002: I started to sing.
2003: I started to watch television.
2004: I learned how to play gameboy.
2006: I began to go to school and learned how to read and write.
2008-2012: I started reading books, magazines, newspaper and our school official gazette.
2010: I'm being exposed on computers.
2011: I started using computer.
2012: Because of pet society, I started to use the facebook account of my mother.
2013: I got my first ever phone. During this year I've decided to create my own account in Facebook and it was my first ever social media account
2014: I got my tablet and laptop.
2015: I received my second phone and decided to make an account in Twitter.
2017: I got an account in Snapchat, Instagram, Edmodo, Musixmatch, Google Play Music and Youtube. I'm also using KissAsian to watch K-Drama

INTERNET OF THINGS

a) In your own words, define Internet of Things
                  - They are all everyday objects that can be connected to the Internet and can be recognized by other devices and contribute information to a database.

b) What brought this theory about?
                 - The theory was brought about in aa presentation by Kevin Ashton in 1999. He said that every computers are dependent on humans in giving information but since people have limited time, attention and accuracy it would be better if we had computer to know everything and supply data by themselves.

c) Do you like the concept of IoT? Why or why not?
                 - Yes. I like the concept of IoT because it will make our life easier however there are several disadvantages of it like security and technological issues but this can be prevented by being careful.

d) In what situations do you encounter IoT in the Philippines?
                 - Almost everyone of us are using IoT in the Philippines. I, myself, encountered IoT by using my gadgets like phone, tablet and laptop for educational and entertainment purposes.

e) How do you think IoT will evolve and affect Filipino Society in the next 3 to 5 years?
                 - I think IoT will become more advanced for the next 3 to 5 years. Filipino people will be more dependent to technology and it will have a bigger part in our lives. But instead of improving IoT, I would suggest that they should focus more in he Internet Speed Connection for us to make use of IoT more.

f) What do you think is the relationship/cause and effect of IoT in media and information literacy?
                 -Because of this advancement of technology, since many people are using media, it will help the people to be aware on what is happening around the world and by this more people would become literate.
